FUNDERS - Your Grantees Look to You for More than Money

Many foundation executives are anguishing about the negative grantee impacts created by the decline in foundation assets and the reprioritizing of giving. Government grantors are experiences similar cutbacks in grant funds.

Where does nonprofit “Capacity-Building” fit in now? Consultants play an important role, but even simple projects spread across multiple organizations can expend large amounts of funds that you might desire to support direct services right now.

Our inexpensive board training/education products and on-line survey tools are perfect for small to mid-sized nonprofits and are designed with a bias toward keeping it simple. Most can be provided either as “Do-it-Yourself” or introduced to a group of nonprofits through a “Kick-off” training event.

Example #1: Using our on-line Board Self-Assessment Tool for a group of six (6) grantee organizations.

A) You host a 60-90 minute introduction for the six organizations with their Executive Director/CEO and at least one board member. You or your local consultant use our outline and presentation.

B) We process the Board Self-Assessments with each of the six organizations and provide PowerPoint™ Summary presentations and raw data reports to each organization.

C) We invoice you approximately $2,000-$2,500 for six assessments plus support in conducting the Kick-off training. (Only $500 more to overlay averages for the group in all reports)

D) At your option, you bring the organizations back together at the 60-90 day mark as reinforcement to act on the findings from their self-assessments.
